Andrew Spangler – Houston Territory Manager
grew up in the small town of Wahoo, Nebraska. Wahoo is located equally north of Lincoln and west of Omaha by about 30 miles. Andrew has seven younger siblings and relocated to Houston, Texas in March of 2013 to begin his career in the forklift industry. Spangler has been a Territory Manager during his year and a half tenure with the company. During his time here, Andrew has succeeded due to his work ethic and during an interview remarked that Thomas Jefferson’s quote; “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it” was an inspiration for his success. He was also asked about his viewpoint on his duties as a Territory Manager. “I am an advisor and act as counsel to my customers and prospects, becoming a partner in their business by providing solutions to their material handling needs to provide the finest products, best service and strongest customer support available.” In his final closing remarks, Andrew pointed to Benjamin Franklin’s advice that “Well done is better than well said.”
Daniel Vicknair – Houston Territory Manager
was born in Tickfaw, Louisiana and later moved to Baytown, Texas where he was raised. After graduating from high school, Daniel joined the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he went on to attend Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where Vicknair earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and minored in English Writing. He came to join the Sunbelt team in 2011 as a Customer Service and Support Manager and began his new opportunity as a Territory Manager this past July. When asked about a quote he chose to live by, Daniel responded, “Winning is not a sometime thing, it is an all the time thing. You don’t do things right once in a while…you do them right all the time” by Vince Lombardi. In his professional career, he exemplifies this by offering clients solutions and information that streamlines the material handling side of their business. He would go on to say that “follow through is paramount in providing solutions that I learned from my tenure here at Sunbelt Material Handling.” Daniel and his wife, Jo, currently reside in Spring, Texas. Together they have a son named Caleb.
Jeremy Breed- Houston Territory Manager
reigns from his hometown of Angleton, Texas. Angleton is south of Houston by approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. Jeremy is a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’09. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Dwight Look College of Engineering for Industrial Distribution with honors. Breed returned to the Houston area the week after graduation to begin working on the Sunbelt team. He has had a five-year tenure with Sunbelt Material Handling with two years of previous material handling experience. During all five years, Jeremy has been a part of the Territory Manager team. Jeremy was asked about his outlook on his career and he responded, “My job is to cultivate my territory by building strong and long-lasting business relationships and this is accomplished by being a diligent and hard worker who is available to clients.” He would go on to use a quote from Henry Ford to inform his clients about himself saying, “Quality means doing it right when no one is looking.”
Mike Schaad – Houston Territory Manager
grew up in the hub of Texas, more commonly referred to as Dallas. He would later move to Atchison, Kansas to attend Benedictine College. While attending Benedictine, Schaad played on a football scholarship. Following his academic endeavors, Mike traveled to Erbil, Iraq from 2011-2012 as a missionary teacher. Then two years ago, Mike returned to the United States and joined the Sunbelt Territory Manager Team in Houston. In his interview Mike commented on the lessons he has learned in the forklift industry, “There is not a trick or some ten-step guide to success. Being a great salesman comes from being honest, friendly, positive, service-oriented and solution based.” Later in the interview, Schaad quoted Ronnie Oldham in regards to how he wants to be known by his clients, “Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.”
A common thread woven between each of them is their dedication to quality service and overall commitment to the team goal. As individuals, they may not have every possible solution to a challenge, but when working together as a cohesive unit they are able to identify the best solutions for our clients. With a company combined experience exceeding 127 years (in partnership with our Dallas location), their ability to produce quality solutions is unmatched in the industry. Sunbelt Material Handling provides the best customer service in Texas!
