Third Quarters Statistics and Accomplishments
The highlight of our 3rd quarter was the Awards Banquet sponsored by Unicarriers in recognition of Sunbelt being the first ever “Solid” Gold Service Excellence Award winner. The Service Excellence Program (SEP) was established to recognize dealers who exceeded industry benchmarks and best practices in operating a Material Handling service organization and achieving service excellence and customer satisfaction. Tony Salgado, President of Unicarriers, was on hand to present the award on behalf of Unicarriers along with Jim Rorig and Ed Hull. About 90 people, including employees and guests, attended the banquet. Sunbelt was
Bill Rowan, President of Sunbelt, commented that “this award not only validates our superior systems and processes, but recognizes the real TEAMWORK by all departments that is necessary to deliver superior customer service to our clients.”
On September 1, Sunbelt celebrated its 28th anniversary. Sunbelt has grown from 5 original employees to currently over 100 employees in two locations, with an interesting note that 4 of the first 5 original employees are still with the company.
Earlier in the year Sunbelt was honored with its 3rd consecutive MHEDA MVP (Most Valuable Partner) Award, 2012-2013-2014. This award is presented by the Material Handling Equipment Dealers Association to recognize dealers for their performance excellence in customer service, supplier relationships, employee training and community involvement. The MVP dealers deliver superior customer service to their clients.
In September at the Doosan Dealer meeting, Sunbelt was recognized for outstanding performances in both sales and parts. Sunbelt is the Doosan Forklift dealer in their Houston location.
The 3rd quarter included milestones and honors for everyone at Sunbelt. As an Employee Owned Company, every employee has a stake in doing things the right way. Each employee contributes to the overall success of the company and shares in these honors and awards.
